Assim como o prometido, a Academia Nacional de Artes e Ciências das Gravações revelou na manhã desta terça-feira (6) a lista oficial de indicados da próxima edição do Grammy Awards, a maior premiação da indústria fonográfica que será realizada no dia 12 de fevereiro de 2017 no Staples Center, em Los Angeles.
A lista é liderada por Beyoncé, que recebeu nove indicações com os seu mais recente álbum de estúdio, “Lemonade”, e segue com Rihanna, Kanye West e Drake com oito nomeações cada, Chance The Rapper, cujo nome aparece sete vezes entre os prêmios, e Adele e Twenty One Pilots, ambos concorrendo em cinco categorias. Além destes, nomes como Justin Bieber, Lalah Hathaway, David Bowie, Lukas Graham, Sia, The Chainsmokers e BJ The Chicago Kid também se destacam.
Há ainda três nomes brasileiros na lista: Caetano Veloso e Gilberto Gil concorrem na categoria de “Melhor Álbum de World Music” com o disco ao vivo “Dois Amigos, Um Século De Música: Multishow Live”, enquanto “30”, trabalho mais recente do grupo Trio da Paz, foi indicado à “Melhor Álbum de Jazz Latino”.
Vale salientar que o Grammy considera apenas os trabalhos lançados entre os meses de outubro de 2015 e setembro de 2016. Além disso, também é preciso enviá-los para avaliação do júri formado pela Academia – o que desclassificou Frank Ocean, tido como um dos favoritos na corrida para a premiação, que decidiu não remeter os seus discos mais recentes, “Blonde” e “Endless”, conforme revelou recentemente em entrevista ao The New York Times.
